We look forward to seeing you at our September educational session.  Our focus for the day will include Travel Program Communications, GBTA Convention Spotlight from our Scholarship winners, What is happening with Washingon, annual business meeting and fall wine raffle. 

Meeting Agenda:

9:30am  – 10:00am:  Registration & Networking

10:00am  – 11:30am:  Morning Session: Artfully influencing traveler behavior with marketing and communications

Guest Speaker: Kelly Ellis, Consultant, Advito

Join seasoned traveler engagement marketing manager, Kelly Ellis, for a hands-on working session focused on developing your travel program goals through a guided discussion. Participate in table discussions aimed at driving down costs, increasing policy compliance, improving the traveler experience and meeting underlying business objectives. You’ll leave with a printed and bound guidebook detailing your goals, communication channels and engagement roadmap.

  • How to identify the program goals your traveler engagement will drive
  • How to leverage existing communication assets
  • How to develop a marketing communications plan and win internal support for it
  • How to create targeted marketing campaigns that support specific business goals
  • How to link engagement initiatives directly to results 

11:30am  – 12:00pm: MBTA Annual Business Meeting & Board Elections

12:00pm  – 1:00pm:  Lunch

1:00pm  –  2:30pm:  Afternoon Session: What's going on in Washington with Travel 

Guest Speaker:  Andrew Meehan, Vice President, Government Relations, GBTA

Andrew will share with us what is going on in Washington DC as it relates to Travel.  He will give us the latest updates on the travel and electronics ban and air traffic reform policies.  He will also review the President and government plans for passenger services fees, then will finish with what GBTA is focusing on for the rest of the year and into 2018.  Then with the help of a local Customs & Border Protection representative they will address our members concerns. 

2:30pm  – 2:45pm:  Meeting Adjourned  – Raffle
