In the February meeting, we will cover the variety of reasons many travel managers feel hotels are not consisten with rate offerings. Then, we will cover what you can do to overcome presented obstacles to generate more value from your hotel program and savings for your company. This session is helpful to both: travel manager and hoteliers seeking to better understand travel managers’ goals.  TMC's will also see value as the intermediary.

Guest Presenter: Neil Hammond, Partner, Director of Air and Hotel Sourcing, GoldSpring Consulting

Neil Hammond, partner at GoldSpring Consulting has 18 years of experience in the travel industry as a buyer and consultant. Neil started his career with Schlumberger and has worked in the United Kingdom, France and the USA. Neil held various roles in Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance before becoming Global Travel Manager for Schlumberger where he implemented the $360 million travel program in 40 countries.

After leaving Schlumberger, Neil joined Advito as Director leading a team of professional consultants engaged in Air and Hotel sourcing projects to corporate clients.

Neil joined GoldSpring Consulting in 2014 as partner and developed technology to support sourcing projects with a focus on streamlining the process for corporate buyers and GoldSpring Consultants with. Neil leads the Air and Hotel Sourcing product lines for GoldSpring. Neil has also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Salford University

The 90 minute morning session, Neil will address the full Chapter Membership, both Buyers & Suppliers. The focus will be on hotel sourcing and how to make the most of your program. Neil will describe the sourcing process from end to end and highlight key areas of opportunity and industry trends. From this sessions you will learn:

  1. How data acquisition leads to a full on program assessment prior to sourcing

  2. How to execute an efficient RFP process and focus on the important points during negotiation

  3. Different ways to measure savings and how they impact your negotiations

  4. Using key information from your program assessment to define your program strategy

  5. Key activities to ensure that your program delivers the success you projected.
